Series is open according to the Policy on Access to the Fund's Archives. Official Committee of Twenty documents are closed under this Policy so files in the series containing these official documents are closed and can be found in boxes 9-15. Files will be screened by reference staff for any time restrictions.

Series consists of records created and accumulated by Secretary's Department Immediate Office (SECAI) relating to the Committee of Twenty and its technical groups. Records include: originals and copies of incoming and outgoing letters, memoranda and cables; Committee meeting documents (CXX) which contains the agenda, record of discussion, press statement by the Chairman, attendance etc.; reports of the Deputies of the Committee of the Board of Governors on Reform of the International Monetary System and Related Issues, and Ministers of the Committee of Twenty. Also includes chronological files, mostly of C.J. (Jeremy) Morse, Chairman of the Deputies of the Committee of Twenty and Committee secretary Janel Horrell which covers announcements of Committee and Technical Group meetings and activites, some administrative matters, and drafts of reports for comment by Committee members. Other correspondence in the series is created/sent by SECAI or Deputy Secretary. Topics covered in the files include, but are not limited to: monetary reform, exchange rate systems, reserve assets, convertibility. Series is arranged in alphabetical, then chronological order.
