Series consists of files regarding IMF-wide administrative issues as well as administrative matters particular to Managing Director Per Jacobsson, and includes memoranda outlining matters for discussion with the Managing Director from the Deputy Managing Directors. Topics include staffing, recruitment, advertising, and the fall-out shelter. Included are reports, cables and correspondence related to various departments of the IMF. Correspondence with the IMF Executive Board is in this series, and concerns the scheduling of meetings, but also the expression of views from various Executive Committees for the guidance of the Managing Director, and discussion of the citation of Executive Board decisions and other policy matters., Documents also include inter-departmental correspondence, internal memoranda and IMF documents. These include: draft policies for comments with occasional responses on such issues as compensation, legal, convertibility, cross rates, retirement and memoranda regarding IMF functions, organization and staff assignments. This series also includes the files of the Secretary, which contain memoranda from the Secretary of the IMF to the Members of the Executive Board and to the Managing Director describing the events and activities of the Board, summaries of regional European economic organizations, speeches, talks and articles by IMF staff, and other Secretary's circulars., Series includes personnel files which contain leave and assignment extensions, and information regarding salaries and promotions.
