Nicoletopoulos Chronological Files; Deputy General Counsel James G. Evans Jr. Chronological Files; Deputy General Counsel Albert S. Gerstein Chronological Files; Deputy General Counsel Graeme F. Rea Chronological Files; Assistant General Counsel Richard B. Brenner Subject Files; Assistant General Counsel Robert C. Effros Country Files; Assistant General Counsel Robert C. Effros Subject Files; Assistant General Counsel Philine R. Lachman Chronological Files; François Gianviti Files; and, Ansel F. Luxford Files. Records primarily document the department’s function of providing legal advice on the interpretation of the Articles of Agreement and ensuring member compliance with the Articles; providing technical assistance in drafting legislation and legislation reform; and, proving legal advice on administrative matters including the terms and conditions of staff relationships and grievances, the operation of the Staff Retirement Plan and the settlement of commercial disputes.
