Scope and Content
Series consists of files created by Franco Spinelli while he was an economist in the Financial Studies Division in the Research Department from 1982-1984. Files contain draft and final copies as well as background material for papers that Spinelli prepared while at the IMF. The key topics of the papers are: world money demand; international monetary cooperation; and optimum currency areas or monetary integration/independence and exchange rate flexibility/volatility with special reference to the work of Ronald McKinnon of Stanford University’s Department of Economics.
