- Ambito e contenutoRecords document and reflect the business activities of the Asian Department area divisions and member countries pertaining to the monitoring of economic, financial and political developments. The country files may contain some duplicate information such as Board documents and internal communications. However, in addition, there are files recording preparatory work of resident representatives, desk economists, and technical assistance advisors. Series contains cables, memoranda, as well as minutes on matters discussed between country government officials, resident advisors and regional/international organization representatives. From time to time news releases, reports and local bulletins have been retained and/or included in the record series especially during periods when member countries experienced significant periods of economic and political changes. Also included are consultation reports; 48-hour reports; briefing papers; comments on drafts and papers; and minutes of meetings on economic and financial requirement needs. Series is arranged alphabetically by country and then chronologically.
