However, many of the records within this series contain records exempt from public disclosure (i.e. personnel files, records pertaining to individuals and documents and proceeding of the IMF Grievance Committee), and are therefore closed to external researchers. Files will be screened by reference staff for any time restrictions. Boxes 73 through 77 and 80 thru 84 are closed.
- [nb-NO]Scope and Content[nb-NO]Series consists of the subject files created and/or received in the course of the administration of the Department and the carrying out of its functions. The activities documented include personnel administration and the supervision of the operation of the IMF headquarters and leased space. Topics include annual budget; annual salary review; career development; GAO revisions; grievance procedures; performance appraisal procedures; promotions; procedures for advertising job vacancies; recommendations for salary increases; reemployment of staff after retirement; scheduling of staff missions; staff compensation; staff recruitment procedures; and reports of the Committee on Administrative Policies, the Committee on Executive Board for Administrative Matters and the Staff Association Committee (SAC). Types of documents include correspondence, memoranda, meeting agendas and minutes. Files maintained by former Deputy Directors Kenneth Clark and P.N. Kaul, as well as the files of Senior Advisor Henry King have also been incorporated into this series. Additionally relevant records maintained by the Data Processing Division were also incorporated in this series. Files are arranged alphabetically by subject and contains one subset, the Departmental Organization files.
