Series consists of subject files maintained by the staff of the Asian Department Division E. Contains operational records; internal correspondence; memoranda. Topics covered include exchange rate/surveillance, compensatory financing, and world economic outlook. Series is processed in chronological tranches. Within successive tranches files are arranged in alphabetical order, and documents are arranged in reverse chronological order within each file. Tranche 2 files (1984-1992, Boxes 14-18) include enhanced structural adjustment facility and conditionality.
