About the IMF Archives Catalog
The IMF Archives Catalog provides descriptions of departmental materials, including photographs and audiovisual items, Executive Board Series, the Central Files Collection, and the Bretton Woods Conference Collection. Digital objects are provided for Executive Board documents and other items as available.
Executive Board documents and other digital items available through the Archives Catalog are in the public domain regardless of their markings; all have been reviewed and declassified by the relevant authorities. Use and publication of IMF archival material is governed by the IMF Copyright and Usage Terms.
Under the Policy on Access to the IMF's Archives only departmental archival materials that are 20 years old or older are open to researchers although descriptions may cover more recent material. There might be descriptions of holdings in the Archives catalogue beyond the 20-year rule due to archival processes but they will be available only when they reach the 20-year rule.
