Форма и содержание
Sub-fonds consists of the files of the second Managing Director of the IMF, Ivar Rooth of Sweden, who served from 1951-1956. The files have been organized into 6 series: Administration Files, Correspondence, Country files, Meetings and Speeches, Subject Files and Travel Files. The Correspondence series does not reflect the total sum of all correspondence sent to the Managing Director, rather those contemporaries that had personal business with the Managing Director. The Country files series contains reports submitted to the Managing Director on a variety of membership issues including consultations and meetings with country representatives. The Administration Files series contains materials specific to the operation of the IMF. As the Managing Director is the responsible officer for carrying the directives of the Executive Board, this series contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports pertaining to the day to day operations of the IMF. The Meetings and Speeches series contains, in addition to the text of speeches delivered by the Managing Director, invitations to speak at conferences and associated correspondence with events attended by the Managing Director, where he was invited to speak. The Travel Files series contains information pertaining to travel undertaken by the Managing Director in an official capacity, including travel to Annual Meeting locales outside of Washington, DC. The Subject Files series contains materials pertaining to international organizations and covers issues of relevance to IMF business., Some folder titles have been renamed to more adequately reflect their contents. In 2003, the material was rearranged according to the principal activities of Rooth. In addition, artificial series were created to further organize the files., Records are arranged in alphabetical order, and reverse chronological within each file.
