Series contains records documenting the major functions and operations of the Immediate Office of the Fiscal Affairs Department. Files are arranged in original order, alphabetically by sub-group according to major subject heading, then chronologically. Sub-groups include: Annual Meetings (covering meetings with country delegations), Conferences and Seminars (reports by FAD staff), Divisions (collaboration with other Divisions), IMF Institute (includes FAD collaboration on courses of Public Finance and Government in Finance Statistics), International Organizations (includes relations with World Bank, OECD), Internal Seminars, Miscellaneous (includes files on Visitors to Fund, general correspondence), Missions (joint IBRD or World Bank, Government Finance Statistics, and Bureau of Statistics), Studies (policy-oriented papers prepared by FAD staff or visiting scholars, some of which were published in IMF and external publicatsions), Subject (including Use of Fund Resources and Conditionality and World Economic Outlook), Organization (files on other IMF Departments, Executive Board, and FAD Visiting Scholars Program).
