Series contains chronological files kept by Anderson while he was Assistant Secretary in the Immediate Office of the Secretary's Department (SECAI) and Chief Editor, and later Deputy Secretary. Primarily includes copies of outgoing memoranda, letters and cables, occasionally with attached reports and other documents. Correspondence relates to Anderson's activities as a member of the Publications Committee, namely the preparation and content of the Annual Reports and Summary Proceedings and other internal papers, publication permissions, and acknowledgement and thank you letters. From 1971 onwards when Anderson was Acting Secretary and Deputy Secretary, the correspondence documents more SECAI operations and Executive Board matters such as: Executive Board decisions communicated with country members and IMF departments; country relations (applications of membership); staff travel for missions; changes in par value; communications of central rates to GATT; G-10 meeting arrangements; IMF/World Bank Joint Committees (Joint Bank/Fund Remuneration of Executive Directors and their Alternates); Committee of Twenty (established 1972) and its successor, the Interim Committee.
