Series consists of subject files maintained by the Asian Department Division F and its staff. Contains files on consultations, annual meetings, external debt, fund liquidity, structural adjustment and World Economic Outlook. Files contain primarily correspondence with some information copies, memoranda, cables and reports. Also included are files on overdue payment obligations; procedural files on Article IV consultations and tranche/stand-by policies., Series is processed in chronological tranches. Within successive tranches, files are arranged in alphabetical order, and documents are arranged in reverse chronological order within each file. Tranche 2 files (1988-1990, box 14) includes Compensatory and Contingency Financing and Contingency Mechanism.
