- Scope and ContentSeries consists of the country files maintained by Subimal Mookerjee in his position as Senior Advisor of the Exchange and Trade Relations Department. Mookerjee often represented the Department and the IMF at the IBRD Aid Group Meetings. In this regard Mookerjee reported directly to the Managing Director on the progress of the aid groups which were responsible for reviewing economic conditions in member counties and assessing the benefits of aid which were pledged by meeting delegates. Countries include Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Syria., There is substantial communication between Mookerjee, Tun Thin, Director of Asian Department, Thomas Gibson and Poul H?st-Madsen, IMF Resident Representatives in Bangladesh, as well as Kemel Siber, another IMF Resident Representaive and Hans Flickenchild, ETR Economist. Material includes briefings on the use of Fund resources; minutes of meetings with country representatives regarding Article XIV consultations and mission or back-to-office summary reports regarding technical assistance; advance import deposit scheme, and debt rescheduling. Records consist of originals and copies of correspondence, memoranda and telexes sent to ETR and specifically assigned to Mookerjee for action.
